Six projects. Different starting points.

From a compact neighbourhood park to a coastal renewal, each project uses Connect in a different way. The product lists also show how Connect works alongside equipment from the wider Moduplay range.

At Sunray Crescent in Horsley, NSW, Wollongong City Council needed a playground that suited younger children and its leafy residential setting. Low equipment heights protect neighbouring sightlines, while compact footprints help limit impacts on the established fig trees. Sunray shows how a considered selection of catalogue products can answer a specific local brief.

At Fenwick Park in Mitchelton, QLD, an integrated SkyRail adds riding to a Connect unit with climbing, slides and other physical challenges. The project was delivered with Urban Play for Brisbane City Council.

Michaela Howie Playground in Dee Why, NSW, on the foreshore, needed to be renewed within its existing footprint. Northern Beaches Council wanted equipment for younger and older children, with beachside character and materials that could respond to salt, wind and summer heat. The renewal uses Connect equipment with Extreme Marine Protection.

At Monfarville Reserve in St Marys, NSW, Penrith City Council wanted a playspace with its own identity beside the sporting facilities. Gumnut Ridge from the Connect Theme range provides an Australian bush setting, with cockatoo and magpie characters, a tin roof and bush detailing. Climbing, sliding, a bucket pulley and puzzle elements give children activities within that setting.

Whimbrel Avenue Park in Lake Heights, NSW, replaced an older playground with a configured Connect Scrambler unit. Climbing walls, rope challenges, interactive panels and a tube slide bring several activities into one structure. Its coastal colours sit well within the reserve’s leafy setting, with swinging, rocking and balancing equipment around it.

Lawrance Hinde Park in Worongary, QLD, already had open grass, picnic areas and sporting facilities. The playground renewal, delivered with Urban Play, introduced a Buller Connect tower alongside climbing, swinging, spinning and rocking equipment. The tower brings height and climbing and sliding challenges to a broader mix of play.

You do not need to have every product selected. Bring the information below so the team can help you choose a starting point and work through the design.

• Your site and budget. Share the location, a plan or dimensions, photos, available budget and any known constraints such as trees, slopes or exposure.
• Your users and play priorities. Outline the ages, access needs and activities you want to cater for, along with any theme or colour direction.
• Your starting design. Bring a catalogue product or a project example you like. Identify what you want to retain, change or add.
• Your project scope. Work through equipment, access, surfacing and installation requirements, then confirm the materials, specifications and responsibilities before ordering.

For the final equipment selection, check the applicable warranty terms and maintenance requirements with the team.
