The City of Wollongong recently unveiled the latest addition to their community spaces: Whimbrel Ave Park, nestled in the hills of Lake Heights, the park recently underwent a thoughtful transformation, delivering a new upgraded play space filled with play for everyone for years to come.

This playground is nestled within a leafy canopy, surrounded by beautiful trees that provide ample shade, with the location settled on top of Lake Heights, the beautiful view is vast. The structures promote physical activity with ample space to explore, with each element carefully chosen to encourage different types of play, from physically challenging to social interactions.
At the heart of Whimbrel Ave, standing tall is the Connect Outlander, featuring big play for every age. Offering a towering tunnel slide, climbing walls, rope challenges, and interactive panels, a full-scale playground solution! It’s supported by a variety of freestanding equipment, including:
This playground has undergone a complete transformation, from Capital to Connect, with the original Moduplay Challenger Capital unit installed by one of our founding family members. The City of Wollongong continues to place its trust in Moduplay, and that enduring relationship is something we deeply value. Working locally with local teams is at the heart of who we are. Our Australian-made and Owned playgrounds, manufactured just down the road from Whimbrel Avenue, stand as a testament to the strong partnership between Moduplay and Wollongong City Council.
