Spinaze Park
Almost a century after the Spinaze family donated land to the Tullera community, Spinaze Park has been renewed for its next generation. Moduplay supported Urban Play by supplying the equipment for Lismore City Council’s revitalisation, replacing the outdated playground with a forest-top, treehouse-inspired playspace shaped by its natural setting and local story.

Carrying the Story Forward
Spinaze Park is named after one of Tullera’s pioneering farming families. After migrating from Italy in the early 1900s, Antonio Spinaze donated land to support the growing local community.
That history remains part of the renewed park through a dedicated storyboard celebrating the Spinaze family and the wider Tullera community. The upgrade carries their contribution forward while creating a space today’s families can make their own.
Play Among the Treetops
At the centre of the new playground is Banff, a Connect Tower that gives the playspace its forest-top treehouse character.
The Capital Double Bay Swing with nest seat, Safari Rocker and Twista Sails add variety around the tower, creating more ways for local children to move, climb, swing and play.
A Complete Village Renewal
The playground forms part of a wider transformation of Spinaze Park. New pathways, picnic facilities and seating make the space easier to use, while the revitalised hard-surface play area introduces handball courts, a netball hoop and tennis and soccer rebound walls.
Together, these elements have given Tullera a renewed place to play, gather and continue a community story that began generations ago.
