A centrepiece inspired by the community
At the heart of the playground stands a configured SkyTower, featuring a reimagined version of Moduplay’s Belltower design that forms the centrepiece of the playground, adapted to reflect the unique character and needs of the local community. Unique panels featuring pelicans and ducks pay tribute to the surrounding lakes and wetlands, while the tower structure encourages diverse play experiences. At ground level, interactive activity panels offer accessible play options for younger children and those with limited mobility.
Play for all ages
Complementing the Skytower is a diverse range of play equipment, thoughtfully positioned to provide a graded play experience. The layout begins with junior elements that include sensory play and nearby seating for easy supervision, gradually transitioning to multi-play units and ending with senior and more dynamic challenges.
More than a playground
This playground is one part of a much larger park-wide upgrade at Kevin Flint Memorial Reserve. New pathways, accessible public toilets, BBQ shelters, picnic and event areas, fitness equipment, and a fully fenced off-leash dog park have all been added to transform the reserve into a well-rounded destination for the whole community. These additions support longer visits, inclusive access, and social gathering across all ages.
Shaped by the community
The project was shaped through a comprehensive community consultation process, led by Brimbank City Council. Local residents were invited to contribute their ideas and priorities, which directly influenced the final design, ensuring the playground reflects the needs and identity of the people who use it. The reserve also honours the legacy of Kevin Flint, a long-time local advocate and community contributor, with the revitalisation continuing to carry his name and spirit forward.
A long-term commitment to play
This project, initiated in 2018, is a testament to Brimbank City Council’s long-term commitment to enhancing community spaces through play. By trusting Moduplay’s team to bring their vision to life, the Council has invested in more than just equipment. They’ve created a destination for connection, development and fun. It’s a shared approach seen in other Moduplay Victorian sites like Entry Park in Donnybrook, Carmen Court in Lilydale, Stud Park in Rowville, Herriots Boulevard Reserve in Glen Waverley and Jean Street in Cheltenham. Every element here has been thoughtfully considered to deliver a high-quality, inclusive result.
