Francesco Crescent Reserve
Nestled in the leafy suburb of Bella Vista, Francesco Crescent Reserve has been revitalised into a welcoming local play space for families to enjoy. Delivered in collaboration with The Hills Shire, the upgrade makes the most of a compact site by working within the existing shape of the reserve while still creating a varied and engaging play experience.

The upgrade was shaped by the need to work within the existing footprint of the site, making careful use of a compact area without compromising on play value. Rather than forcing a larger solution into the space, the design responds to the reserve as it is, using its shape to guide a layout that feels natural, functional and easy for families to move through.
A key priority was creating a variety of play experiences within a relatively small site. The selected mix of equipment gives children different ways to engage, whether through imaginative play, movement, social interaction or gentle challenge. The Storyteller Connect unit adds an interactive element, with a Capital Single Bay Swing with Nest Seat and a Seesaw Rocker, helping to round out the offering with familiar, well-loved play experiences that support a broader range of users.
Accessibility was also an important consideration throughout the project, not just in terms of access, but in how the space could support play that feels shared and inclusive. The result is a playground that encourages children of different ages and abilities to play alongside one another, helping create a more connected and welcoming community space.
Together, these elements have transformed Francesco Crescent Reserve into a well-balanced local destination that supports everyday play, invites repeat visits and makes the most of its compact setting.
