Beatty Park Reserve
Asking the community to vote on the playspace they think would best suit their neighbourhood, is a recipe for success. After all, they’re the folks who will use them, right? This is the case for two of City of Vincent’s most recent playground projects – Edinboro Street & Beatty Reserves.

Popular with sporting groups and the wider community, Beatty Park Reserve in North Perth presented the ideal canvas for upgrade. By lifting the site’s overall appeal and play value to match the evolving community’s needs, Moduplay played a significant part in creating a comprehensive leisure destination to encourage greater presence and inclusion for every age group.
Moduplay’s design team worked to maximise play value by incorporating a number of playground staples across a mix of rubber soft fall and sand surfaces, working to achieve the community’s wishes of a space that caters to older children and teenagers.
Among the space includes:
- 25m Skyrider for an adrenaline kick!
- A Capital Double Bay Swing with nest seat, for extra fun.
- Premium Multiplay Unit
- Playful Lorikeet Rocker
The major improvements at Beatty Park Reserve prove that listening to, and allowing the community to become actively involved in a project, delivers unmatched results.
By successfully increasing the range of activities and introducing dynamic elements to serve the teenage demographic, this perfectly formulated playground is an example of how community vision, backed by thoughtful design can create meaningful community spaces
