This new partnership continues to bring Moduplay’s full suite of Australian-made playground and rope play equipment to communities across Queensland, Northern NSW & the Northern Territory – delivered by a team that knows the landscape, understands local needs, and shares a long-standing commitment to creating great community spaces in the area.
What does this partnership mean?
Urban Play will represent Moduplay Group across Queensland, Northern NSW & the Northern Territory, giving clients access to products that are not only manufactured locally – but designed specifically for Australian conditions.
This partnership is a significant milestone for both businesses. It’s the first time in almost a decade we’ve appointed an official distributor, so we knew we had to find the right fit – someone who could uphold the same high standards we expect of ourselves and who genuinely believes in the value of world-class, Australian-made play. It’s an exciting opportunity to combine our manufacturing strength with Urban Play’s on-ground experience – and together, lift what’s possible for playgrounds in Queensland and beyond.
Steve Quinsey, Managing Director, Moduplay Group.
More than just great playgrounds.
This partnership comes at a time when councils, schools, and developers are demanding smarter solutions – ones that can be tailored to site-specific needs without the long delays that come from offshore supply chains. More than ever, councils and landscape architects are weighing the lifetime value of a playground – not just the upfront cost. With Moduplay, that value comes through in lasting quality and market-leading warranties. Having Urban Play on board to help us spread that message – and deliver on it – can only be a positive for the industry.
Moduplay designs, engineers, and manufactures its products in-house – across four Australian facilities – with lead times typically measured in weeks, not months. That includes access to locally held spare parts, which are now easier than ever to order through playgroundparts.com.au.
Built for today, with tomorrow in mind.
Urban Play’s decision to partner with Moduplay wasn’t just about product – it was about what clients are asking for and where the industry is heading.
This partnership is about more than great product – it reflects what we stand for. For over 20 years, Urban Play has helped shape open spaces across Australia through local insight, expertise and a consultative approach. There’s a clear shift in what clients need: Australian-made quality, faster lead times and real sustainability.
Moduplay delivers on all of it and brings exciting innovation with ranges like Connect and RePlay. It’s a partnership that strengthens our offering, supports our clients, and keeps Urban Play at the forefront of play design.Ben Urban, Director of Urban Play.
With shared values, ambitious goals, and a deep commitment to local manufacturing, the future of play looks stronger than ever.
What this means for Queensland, Northern NSW & the Northern Territory.
Urban Play has spent two decades building award-winning public spaces across Queensland. Their local knowledge and on-ground capability make them the ideal partner to deliver Moduplay’s product ranges – from compact school-based units to large-scale, themed community destinations.
We’re excited to be working with the team at Urban Play. They’re smart, committed, and aligned with where the future of play is headed. There’s so much we can learn from each other – and this is the kind of partnership that lifts the whole industry & helps us with our mission of Bringing Play to the World.

Want to see us in action? Here is our First Collaboration with Urban Play at New Farm State School
New Farm State School in Brisbane has taken a giant leap forward in creating engaging, inclusive play spaces with the installation of Moduplay’s innovative equipment. Collaborating with Urban Play, the project delivers a high-quality, Australian-made playground tailored to meet the needs of the school’s vibrant community.
At the heart of the new playground is the Wildling Connect Unit, a climbing structure designed to challenge coordination, confidence, and physical skills through active, high-energy play. Alongside it, the Inclusive NEO Saucer offers a spinning experience that’s all about teamwork, sensory play, and making sure everyone can join in the fun. These pieces aren’t just about play, they’re about connection, growth, and resilience, crafted to thrive in Brisbane’s warm, sun-soaked climate.
The journey from idea to reality was a true team effort. Urban Play worked closely with the school to create a playground that perfectly reflected their vision. From the thoughtful product selection to the seamless installation, every step focused on delivering something truly special for the students. It’s not just a playground—it’s a testament to what’s possible when great ideas and passionate teams come together to create something extraordinary for the community.
