Arilla Close Playground

Schofields, NSW

Schofields Siding was once just a small platform on the railway line from Blacktown to Windsor in metropolitan Sydney, NSW, dating back to 1845. The railway line ran through 600 acres of farming land purchased by John Schofield and the area later became known simply as Schofields.

Schofields nowadays is a fast developing and strategically located suburb in the City of Blacktown and the home of 100’s of families with energetic children needing somewhere to play.

Working closely with the Blacktown Council Landscape Architect and community consultation, Moduplay was allocated to design a playground inside a semicircle shape built with a combination of timber and stainless steel materials using a neutral colour scheme.

Everyone Can Play design principles have been applied to ensure equal opportunity for all age groups and abilities.
