What has the Sydney Water Desalination plant got to do with playgrounds?

Well, you would be excused for not seeing any connection at all, but...

... the extensive works required in and around Cook Park, Rockdale (just on Botany Bay as you approach the Sydney airport tunnel) have lead to a new Children's Playground being built as part of the area regeneration works.







After extensive negotiations with the Sydney Water Alliance (the head contractors of the whole desalination plant project) Moduplay was selected as the supplier and construction began!











The project was completed by March 30, 2010 in time for families to enjoy over the Easter Holidays.
